If you are likely to be in contact with the general public or work with staff who are deaf or hard of hearing then this course is aimed at you. It focuses on some of the key issues relating to deafness and communication tactics. It will help deepen your understanding of how access for deaf people can be improved. The training is interactive and will allow trainees to practice their communication skills. The training is delivered by a Deaf trainer.
The course can be held as a half day (3 hours) or full-day (5.5 hours) course. A comprehensive handout pack will be given to each trainee.
